COURSE DESCRIPTION

Hands-on training and expert guidance in both PV and Solar Thermal systems – from design to real-world installation.

If you plan to work in the solar industry as an installer, this training is essential! This course equips you with the practical knowledge and confidence to design, install, and implement real-world solar energy systems. You’ll learn how to tailor solutions for both photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal technologies, whether for residential, commercial, or off-grid applications

PREREQUISITES
From 2025 onwards, only registered professional companies may perform PV installations. Private, non-commercial installations without trade registration are no longer permitted.

Requirements for performing PV installations:
1. Registered Trade Company: Must be a business registered as a “specialist company” (“Fachbetrieb”).
2. Electrotechnical Qualification: Required for grid connections or electrical installations, e.g.,
  
  Electrician with journeyman or master certification
  
  Equivalent recognized qualification
3. Compliance with Standards and Safety Regulations: Must follow standards such as:
  
  DIN VDE 0100 (Low-voltage electrical installations)
  
  DIN VDE 0100-712 (Photovoltaic systems)
4. Course Prerequisites: Successful completion of MT-GE modules:
  
  Module 01: Fundamentals of Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal Systems
  
  Module 02: Design and Planning of Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal Systems
