In second Step you will learn a practical case of system sizing.

• You will learn to be able to size a photovoltaic installation and battery capacity given the specifications of a school’s energy needs in a country of your choice.
• The method of sizing is a “hand-made” calculation
• By assessing the energy needs of a building and collecting information about the electrical devices in use
• you will learn how to calculate the energy consumption.
• Energy consumption and irradiation values will allow you to size the photovoltaic installation in terms of both size and configuration (number of panels in series and parallel).
• The battery sizing will consist of determining the capacity required and the configuration of the batteries to answer the need of the desired autonomy.
• At the end of this module, you will know which solution best suits the needs of the client and the steps that you need to follow when responding to a client demand.
